Project 2014: Support to Application "IMAT – Informal Market Development in Timor-Leste"
Commissioned by a leading international consultancy, our experts drafted the concept note for the project "IMAT – Informal Market Development in Timor-Leste", to be submitted to an EU tendering procedure. IMAT was conceived to improve the livelihoods of marginalised households by promoting access to employment in the informal economy to achieve a regular income. This was meant to be accomplished through skills development and support to initiatives developing self-employment or job creation. IMAT activities were proposed for some of the lowest-income districts of Timor-Leste, including Babonaro, Lautém and Viqueque. The proposal included an onsite mission to Timor-Leste to liaise with local staff and potential project counterparts.
